This guide describes the custom installation of XLSTAT on Windows, which allows you to edit the default parameters according to your situation. In most cases, a regular installation would be recommended.
Before startingIn order to install XLSTAT, you must use an account with administrator rights on the machine.
You can download XLSTAT on the Free Trial page of our website. Please fill in the form and click on one of the download buttons.
If you download a “.zip” archive file, it has to be extracted so that you can execute it. To do so, right-click on it and choose “Extract…”.
Double-click on "xlstat.exe". The dialog box pictured below should appear. Give your authorization by clicking on "Yes".
On the following screen, choose your language in the list before going further.
Accept the terms of the license agreement to continue.
You will be prompted to choose a type of installation. Please select "Custom" and then click on "Next >".
The next step allows you to modify the folder where XLSTAT should be installed. Most users keep it as it is. Click "Next >" to continue.
The application data folder selection will appear.
Proceed according to your case:
- You are the final user of this software: changing the default path is not required,
- You are installing XLSTAT for another user: make sure the path leads to a folder they have access to.
If the user doesn't have read and write accesses on the specified folder, they will be prompted to select a new one upon starting XLSTAT.
This parameter can be changed later on by the user, in the XLSTAT option panel.
The following screen allows you to select which feature should be installed.
Please note that the "XLSTAT NETWORK" options are only used for the XLSTAT concurrent license. None of them should be checked in our case.
Continue to the next screen, then click "Install".
The installation may require a few minutes. After it finishes, you can choose to launch XLSTAT right away before exiting the wizard.
You can now set up the license key. More information on how to operate this task may be found in the Activate your license guide.
