There are some technical requirements for the server/client architecture of XLSTAT to work properly. If you are still unsure of the way XLSTAT work within a network, please refer the corresponding guide by clicking here.
An administrator account must be used to install XLSTAT on the machine.
Microsoft Excel should be installed on the workstations before installing XLSTAT. It is not required for the server version.
The following Microsoft Visual Studio redistributables are required:
- On the server: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64)
- On the Windows clients: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package. The architecture should correspond to the one of the installed XLSTAT client.
Please refer to the table below for the list of supported systems. This requirement is only for the server part. Refer to this guide for details on what systems are supported for the XLSTAT clients.
|Operating system||Supported versions|
|Windows x64||8, 8.1, 10|
|Windows Server x64||2012, 2016|
The communication between XLSTAT Server and the clients uses TCP port 7070 by default. This port must be white-listed in the firewalls of the clients and server.
