Pearson correlation

By Karen Jordaan | Jun 06, 2016 11:44AM CEST

I want to perform Pearson correlation test between 11 sampling points and 6 environmental parameters. Each sampling point consists of > 6,000 operational taxonomic units (OTUs)/species. When I do the correlation test, I get results where the OTUs are correlated with the environmental parameters, or where the different sampling points are correlated with one another. Is there another way to test significant relationships (I need a p-value) between the sampling points and environmental parameters?

Dear Karen Jordaan,

In order you to get the significance (p value) between each couple of variables {sampling point – env_param1} you need to check the p-value option in the output of the correlation tests command.
Just follow this tutorial
without forgetting to set up a Pearson instead of Spearman correlation test.
