Random stratified (3)

By Olga | Sep 20, 2016 04:38PM CEST

I need to create a new sample with specific gender and age distribution. Can I use 2 columns (gender, age) for strata? Or I have to re-code age-gender combination into a new variable (column)?
Does this method work only with interlocking targets?

Dear Olga,

You can not use more than one column for strata but as you said recode each {gender, age} category in a new variable.
You can also defined for the re-coded variable the target relative frequency for each strata for the new generated sample.
