Where do I specify the covariate in an ANCOVA?

By Neftali | Jan 21, 2017 03:56PM CET

I have morphological data of animals from different localities and I would like to to examine if differences in morphological parameters (dependent variables) among localities are significant after accounting for body size (a covariate).

In XLSTAT (ANCOVA), I would like to know where do I specify the covariate (in my case, it is quantitative) in the General Tab, e.g., under "X / Explanatory Variables" (Quantitative tab), "Observation Weights"?
Thanks,
Neftalí

Hello Neftali,

In ANCOVA, the covariates correspond to quantitative explanatory variables. You should thus include your covariates under the X/ Explanatory Variables field.

Best,

Jean Paul
