Hierarchical bayes

By Erica | Jan 27, 2017 01:35AM CET

I am running a hierarchical bayes conjoint and am running into a convergence error. Is there anything I can do to get the conjoint to run faster and converge? Thanks.

Hi,

With the same dataset, the only way to achieve convergence is to increase the burn-in period, the maximum time as well as the number of iterations under the options tab. You may also slightly increase Convergence, but this increase might result in less precise results.

Best,

Jean Paul

How does XLSTAT determine convergence?

Dear Erica,

Convergence is assumed as soon as the difference between likelihood(last iteration) and likelihood(last iteration – 1) is lower than the Convergence threshold.

All the best,

Jean Paul
