Hi I have 9 water sampling sites. I did flow cytometry on cells exposed to these waters from the different sites over 4 time points. I then get 4 classes of flow results for each time point and site. How do I set up a multi way ANOVA to analyse this data ? I'm also not sure if ANCOVA or MANOVA would be better in this case. Maronel
My suggestion is to use the mixed models feature (modeling data menu). Your data should be in a 4-column format (site, class, time and response). Select the site, class and time data under the explanatory (qualitative) data field. In the options tab, activate the interactions option if needed, as well as variance components.
You can activate multiple comparisons under the Outputs tab.
Once you click on OK, select Time & class as fixed effects (and Time x Class if you selected interactions), and site as a random effect.
