RV Coefficient

By Chao Wang | Jul 26, 2017 04:16PM CEST

Can you help me understand dimensions for RV coefficient? In the tutorial, it is recommended to change Selected Variables from 1 to 5, what does this mean? Which is the final index or RV coefficient indicating the correlation between two matrices?

Hi Chao,

It’s all explained in the Help documentation :)

Choose the User Defined option to compute the RV coefficient between sub-matrices of Matrix A and Matrix B with the same number of variables. Then, enter the number of variables to be selected. For example to compute the RV coefficient on the first two variables (or the first two dimensions when comparing results from multidimensional analysis), enter 2 for both From and To. To compute RV coefficients for a series of number of variables, enter a for From and b for To where a<b. For example, to compute, RV coefficients for the first 2, 3 and 4 variables, enter 2 for From and 4 for To.
