I need to determine if there is a relationship between water alkalinity and mercury concentration in fish in 43 different lakes. Neither the alkalinity nor mercury data sets are normally distributed, so I think I need to conduct a Spearman's correlation test. Is this correct, and are there any other tests I should conduct to explore the relationship between the 2?

Hi there,

Spearman’s test is the best solution to your problem, to my opinion :)

All the best,

Jean Paul
