Discretizing 3D data

By KHAMPHAN | Oct 26, 2017 12:02AM CEST

Hello,
I am currently evaluating XLSTAT in order to buy it if it satisfies our needs.
I would like to discretize data series recorded in columns X, Y, Z.
X and Y are the variables that I would like to discretize in constant step and Z is the measurement. Is it possible to do this directly with XLSTAT?
My other question is : is it possible to export images of good quality with XLS3DPLot?
I copied an image from XLStat 3D in Word but the quality of the image was poor. Is it due to the fact that I am using a trial version?
Thank you very much for your help,
Best regards,
Catherine Khamphan

Dear Catherine,

We hope you are enjoying your XLSTAT trial.
Yes it is definitely possible to discretize variables in XLSTAT: https://help.xlstat.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2062316-discretizing-a-continuous-variable-in-excel?b_id=9283
Image captures from XLSTAT 3D plot are not vectorized, thus you will never have an optimal quality unfortunately. This module is more useful when you need to play around “live” with a 3D chart within the 3DPlot interface.

Please let us know if you need anything else.

Best,

Jean Paul
