Regression analysis - analysing regression results

By Christine | Apr 08, 2018 04:00AM CEST

My research question measures the extent of the impact of a university on GDP. My regression is based on GDP as the dependent variable and entity spending and student spending as the dependent variables. How do i show the measurement of the impact based on the analysis of the regression results?

Hello Christine,

You should look at the coefficients if you want to analyse the impact of the explanatory variables on the GDP (if coefficient is 2 for variable X1, that means that when X1 increases by 1, then GDP increases by 2). If you want to analyse the relative impact of the variables, you should look at the standardized coefficients.

Best regards,
