Choice of statitstical test

By Lucie Bernier | May 14, 2018 05:10PM CEST

I want to discriminate between two types of treatments:
1- 2 combined treatments
2- only one of the 2 treatments above
I want to determine if the option 2 (only one treatment alone) is significantly different (optimally better)

I collected data on 40 subjects for each of options 1 and 2 (so 80 total)

I have data prior treatment and after treatment for all.

Is a Khi-square test with contingency tables appropriate? Otherwise, what should I use?

Thank you very much!

Hello Lucie,
An appropriate method to analyze the results of your experiment is the Repeated measures Anova. An example of how to use this XLSTAT functionnality is available here.
