Hi - I'm considering purchasing XLSTAT-LG and have been using the trial version. I have 2 questions: 1) Please explain the theoretical reason behind the "Direct Effects" option. 2) In the output, the cluster probabilities and membership seems to be listed at the bottom of the output with rows labeled "Obs1", "Obs2", etc. Do these correspond exactly to the rows of the datafile (i.e., Obs1 = first row/respondent)?Finally a suggestion: it would be a very helpful time saver if XLSTAT remembered the datafile column selections for an analysis after that analysis had been executed. LCA can require running analyses many times, and needing to re-enter the info/options is a pain.Jeff
Thank you for your interest in XLSTAT.
You will find the theory behind the option direct effects at page 18 of this document.
The observation labels in your case were generated automatically by XLSTAT. Obs1 corresponds to the second row of the input data (or the first row if there are no column headers), Obs2 corresponds to the third row of the input data, etc.
There is indeed a problem with memorizing the data selection. We will fix this as quick as possible and will get back to you.
The problem is now fixed. You can download again XLSTAT and install.
